Music

Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts of tempo and meter), dynamics (loudness and softness), timber (or color of sound), and texture (how many layers of sound are heard at once, and how they interact). Music is created by combining these elements through a variety of instruments and vocals, and it exists in numerous forms across different cultures and historical periods. It serves various purposes, including entertainment, expression of emotions, storytelling, and ritual. Music can be written down in the form of notation, performed live, or recorded for later reproduction. It encompasses a wide range of genres, styles, and practices, making it one of the most versatile and universal forms of human expression.
